About the Knowledge Hub

Welcome to the Health Care Human Resource Sector Council (the Council) Knowledge Hubs. These Knowledge Hubs provide a portal or one-stop shop to address knowledge transfer and training issues specific to Nursing Homes and Long-Term Care, Home Support and Disability Support Sectors. A host agency represents each sector - the Nursing Homes of Nova Scotia Association (Nursing Homes and LTC), Home Care Network (HC) and the Nova Scotia Residential Agencies Association (DS).

The Council acts in a “Navigator” role for the information and resources offered through these Hubs. The Hubs provide links to other service providers, training agencies, educational institutions and resources. The resources were vetted and approved in consultation with each user group. You will also find links to our website for skills training offered via SkillsPass, sponsored by the Department of Labour, Skills and Immigration.

Each Hub is a central repository of information and resources for sector stakeholders and their staff. A significant component of the Hub for future development will also be a Community of Practice forum.
